Overview

Representative stills for embedded media segments. One embedding row covers an inclusive span of source media (frame_index..frame_index_end), and its thumbnail is the frame chosen to stand in for that span in search results.

Storage Pattern

Files are stored in the embedding_thumbnails bucket with object paths: {device_id}/filename.ext

embeddings_vertex_multimodal_001.thumbnail_uri stores the bucket-qualified path, e.g. embedding_thumbnails/{device_id}/seg_thumb.jpg.

Access follows the same {device_id}/... path and ability model as the artifact and event derivative buckets, via private.media_derivative_object_access. Objects here count against herd storage caps.
